Boatos começaram a circular sobre um mini iPad que estaria sendo fabricado no Brasil e que seria lançado brevemente pela Apple. Como o próprio nome sugere, essa seria uma versão menor do iPad, para concorrer com outros tablets mais baratos, como o recém anunciado Nexus 7, do Google, e o Kindle Fire, da Amazon. Por falar em Amazon, também circularam notícias de que uma nova versão do Kindle Fire está sendo preparada, além de um smartphone com a marca da gigante do comércio eletrônico. E a Microsoft finalmente anunciou as datas para lançamento do Windows 8: a versão final estará pronta na primeira semana de Agosto, sendo que sua comercialização começará em Outubro. Também espera-se que em Agosto, o Visual Studio 2012 esteja pronto.
