Na semana que passou, surgiu a notícia de que a Microsoft pretende substituir o Messenger (anteriormente conhecido por MSN) pelo Skype. Era algo que muitas pessoas esperavam, desde que a Microsoft adquiriu o Skype, no ano passado. Entretanto, por trás, o Skype usará toda a infraestrutura do Messenger. Outra notícia da Microsoft, envolvendo diretamente o Brasil, é a de que irá investir R$ 200 milhões no primeiro centro de tecnologia avançada no país, localizado no Rio de Janeiro. Será o quarto no mundo, além dos que existem na Alemanha, Israel e Egito.
